According to Southern California Edison, as of Tuesday, Jan. 23, the water level at Middle Ranch Reservoir is 722.6 acre-feet.

At long last, The Catalina Islander is now online! It has been an exciting journey here, and developing this website, which is designed to continue the tradition established by the newspaper way back in 1914 – serving Catalina Island and our mainland friends!

Our philosphy with this new digital news platform is the same as it is for the newsapaper – this is your outlet for everything important to you in the community – but now in a way that lets you comment on stories, share them with your friends and relatives, and engage in a new way with the newspaper and your community.

So, welcome to the website, and we hope you find it useful and fun to use!
